The Amyloid Mechanism and Disease Center at Rice University brings together faculty, researchers, and students working on amyloids or amyloidogenic proteins in any capacity.

Our work spans neurodevelopment, neuronal function, neurodegeneration, materials science, and the emerging roles of amyloids in cancer. The center is inclusive and aims to connect protein biophysics, biochemistry, and cell biology—fostering synergy, collaboration, and innovation across disciplines.
